The Gentle Way With Pain

Relieve pain and discomfort, increase mobility and help the healing process by creating a path to optimal health and wellbeing.

McTimoney Holistic Therapy and Koren Specific Technique

We do everything a bone manipulator does using energy not force

McTimoney Holistic Therapy and Koren Specific Technique (KST) have been combined in order to provide a whole body adjustment producing excellent results and leaving the body in an optimum state for self-healing to take place. It is a treatment suitable for people of all ages from birth to nonagenarians.  Tanja welcomes the opportunity to meet with you to improve your health and wellbeing.

Do you struggle with pain and discomfort?

McTimoney Holistic Therapy and Koren Specific Technique (KST) targets the source of your pain, and using energy not force can treat common issues effectively and painlessly.

Tanja has been practicing for over 30 years and offers McTimoney Therapy as a gentle alternative to many forms of Chiropractic and Osteopathy.  Subtle corrections are made in treatments and it is very rare for any popping or cracking to take place.  It is a highly effective whole body treatment for spinal and skeletal misalignment.

Who benefits from treatment?

We treat adults, babies, toddlers, children, teenagers and pregnant women for a variety of common issues, some of which are:

  • Back, neck and shoulder pain
  • Discomfort, pain and stiffness in joints
  • Migraine and tension headaches
  • Sciatica
  • Whiplash injury
  • Sports injuries
  • Arthritic pain
  • Unexpressed or buried emotions.

We see adults and adjust them for a variety of problems, it is the gentleness of our technique and the treatment of the whole body using energy that distinguishes our methods from others.

  • Back, neck, shoulder, wrist, knee and other joint pain
  • Migraine and tension headaches
  • Whiplash, sciatica, and other "trapped nerve" problems
  • Sports injuries
  • Problems caused by bulging vertebral discs
  • PTSD and other deep emotional problems.

Hormonal and physical changes in the body during pregnancy can affect the body's structure causing pressure on nerves and pain or discomfort.  Our treatments work to gently realign the body allowing the spine, the pelvis, and other joints to return to their natural position, relieving any pressure on the nerve fibres and associated pain, both during and after pregnancy.

Birth can be a traumatic process, particularly if forceps or a ventouse cap is used, or the baby is born by caesarean section.  Even a normal vaginal delivery can leave some issues to be resolved. Our gentle treatments can help with:

  • Feeding
  • Digestive problems; colic, sickness wind
  • Continuous or frequent crying; general irritability, sleep issues, difficult to settle.

Toddlers to teens

When beginning to walk or when first pulling themselves upright, children can fall heavily and repeatedly on their bottoms.  This can cause misalignment of the pelvis and thus of the spine.  As children get older, the simple bumps and tumbles and activities associated with growing up can often cause structural misalignment. Using energy through McTimoney and KST treatment help ensure early milestones take place naturally.
